The Sussex Wine Gala Dinner held in the Dome Room of the Hotel du Vin was one of the highlights of this autumn's Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival. Head chef Rob Carr and Head Sommelier Szabi Menesi matched the best of local ingredients with the finest of Sussex wines to produce a stunning feast. Wines were introduced by representatives of the vineyards who contributed them: Mardi Roberts and Charlie Holland [Ridgeview Wine Estate], Stuart Barford [Bolney Estate] and Simon Woodhead [Stopham Estate], whilst the Sussex cheeses provided by La Cave a Fromage were introduced by David Deeves. Proceeds from the event go to Rockinghorse Children's Charity whose new Chief Executive Ryan Heal was amongst those enjoying the evening, who also included representatives of sponsors of BHFDF: PHS Wastetech and Montefiore.
