A tour of Läckö Slott, the 17th century baroque castle overlooking Lake Vänern, where head gardener Simon Irvine introduces the beautifully laid out organic garden. Fresh produce from the garden is used in the castle restaurants.
Part of International Chef Exchange is getting an insight to the culture, local foods and producers in the exchange country. During the visit to Sweden Chef Jimmy Gray of Jeremy’s Restaurant at Borde Hill, East Sussex, UK, created a Sussex-themed meal at Sjöboden Restaurant in Spiken near Lidkoping, as part of International Chef Exchange. Swedish chef Christofer Johansson, will come to the UK in turn to present a meal representing his home region of Läckö-Kinnekulle at Jeremy’s Restaurant in September this year.
