Julia Claxton Graduated from the London College of Printing in 1988 with a BA(Hons) in Photography. Since then her award winning work has been exhibited and reproduced both nationally and internationally. Her image making has been described by The Royal Photographic Society as ‘innovative and cutting edge’. She is a past holder of the Agfa Bursary for Experimental Photography and her image making continues to involve exploration of both digital imaging and older photographic processes. She has recently been awarded a Royal Photographic Society Silver Medal for her International Garden Photographer of The Year portfolio.

Published, commissioned and exhibited work includes that for The Observer, The Photographer, The Photographic Journal, The British Journal of Photography, Womens Art Magazine, Oslo Museum of Modern Art, IDEA - International Digital Exhibition and Awards, The Royal Photographic Society International Print Exhibition, The South Bank Photo Show, Hoopers Gallery, and several solo shows.

Based in the UK in Brighton, she does commissioned editorial, event and portraiture work in the UK and abroad.
