Chef Andrew MacKenzie of Brighton's acclaimed Drakes hotel and restaurant serves up a five course Sussex menu at the International Chef Exchange dinner at Hotel Beaumont in Maastricht on Sunday 18 November.

The International Chef Exchange has been devised by Andrew Kay as part of the Brighton & Hove Festival of Food and Drink. Earlier this year Hotel Beaumont's chef Audrey Eussen brought a taste of the Limburg region of Holland to Brighton at Drakes, and this was the reciprocal meal with a taste of Sussex for diners in Holland.

Diners enjoyed crispy pigs head with langoustine and black pudding purée, line caught sea bass, smoked Sussex hogget, cheeses from High Weald Dairy and treacle tart with vanilla ice cream. A selection of wines including the award-winning Ridgeview Bloomsbury and popular Brighton Best beer from Horsham’s WJ King accompanied the menu, served in the stylish dining room at the Beaumont to guests from Holland, Belgium and UK.
