The sun shone on the second day of the Big Sussex Market, New Road was once again packed with stalls selling the most fabulous local foods, wonderful vegetables, cakes, breads and meats with teas, cocktails and wines and champagnes to wash it all down with, and the crowds proved how popular this event has become.

In Jubilee square there was more Mexican themed fun with a Mariachi band and dancers. Food festival sponsors Discovery Foods had turned Jubilee square into little Mexico, with the wonderful smell of fajitas and tacos cooking, colourful festoons and pinyatas, and with the sun out the crowd clapped and danced along to the music.

In Pavilion Gardens the Live Food tent was thronged with eager crowds to watch cooking demonstrations by a star studded group of chefs, and sample the results. more of the top Brighton restaurants, including The Chili Pickle, The Hilton and Graze, took part, as well as sponsors Discovery Foods, who marched in with a mariachi band. The day was rounded off with Dan Warren of Brown's, winner of the Great Brighton Mix Off, mixing a marvellous 'Hard Shoulder' cocktail for the assembled audience.
