They ran, they leaped, they flounced, they pranced, they staggered, they sweated, they laughed, they cried - however they did their run it was all for a good cause and heroic stuff. Whether they did the 5k version or the truly heroic 10k run, the runners in Sunday's Heroes Run along Hove promenade in brilliant sunshine seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the spectators. The event, held to raise funds for Passing It On, a charity that helps build schools in Africa, has become a popular feature of the Brighton running calendar.
