At The Oriental Hotel in conjunction with their High Skies art exhibition today a chance to get hands on with some printmaking techniques demonstrated by the exhibiting artists. Wood engraver Keith Pettit, Printmaker mark Greco, Jeweller and enamel artist Ellie Norris and Sam Harris talked about their work, their inspiration and techniques to a group of fellow artists and others over a glass or two of warm winter Pimms provided by hosts Nathalie Calonnec and Catherine Anderson. Several of the assembled group had the opportunity to try their hand at wood engraving as the talk ranged across subjects as diverse as the History of Printmaking, ornithology and the psychology of creativity.
