The first Asahi Anime Festival hosted by Moshi Moshi was part of the Brighton Festival in 2010 and was such a success it has given birth to a festival all of its own this year. Celebrating all things Japanese, including film, art, performance and culture, the Brighton Japan Festival runs from 18 - 26 June and will include fundraising for the Earthquake Relief Fund

Last years event, Brighton's first ever festival dedicated to Japanese Anime and Manga was held in Bartholomew Square. Dressed as avatars from their favourite Japanese animated films participants met in and around Moshi Moshi to shop, make new friends, compete in speed drawing competitions drawing their favourite characters, and Cosplay competitions where their outfits were judged. Plenty of good food and drink were on hand from both the restaurant inside and chefs barbequeing outside. This is just a taster of the fun to look forward to. For more information go to
