A stunning line up of top local and international chefs took to the stage to cook up fabulous feasts for a rapt and salivating audience. From popcorn cooked up by kids in hamster balls with a hairdryer under the cheerful supervision of Cookery Doodle Do through haute cuisine from Audrey Eussen of the Beaumont in Maastricht with Andy Mackenzie of Drakes, to cocktails from the Mixology Group - there was something for everyone. Apart from the chefs own creations, sponsors Discover The Origin set everyone a 5 minute challenge to produce a dish [or in the case of Mixology a cocktail] using their fabulous ingredients, with some pretty tasty results. Sam Sidgwick of Above Audio was crowned King [or should that be queen?!] of the 2012 Bloody Mary Mix Off [generously sponsored by Belvedere Vodka and Eager tomato juice] and a very good time was had by all. Can't wait for it to come back in September!
