In a desperate attempt to find the sun and return with it, a crack team from Brighton headed to the South of France in search of the sun. Our arriving in Toulouse to a humid sultry sunset suggested we might have found warmth at least. Unfortunately within half an hour we were driving through a spectacular electric storm and rain, which did little more than pause overnight.
We decided this called for desperate measures, and headed the next day for Lourdes to light candles and pray. And to marvel at this amazing town, awash with pilgrims and shops selling religious souvenirs, a veritable religious Disneyland. We await developments on the weather front…
