The inaugural Brighton Bartenders League cocktail competition was held at Below Lucky Voice Brighton. Sponsored by Midori, it was won by Lainey Larkin [freelance Bar Manager] Who scooped the £200 first prize. Simon of Brewery tap came second and also won the Midori Bar Kit for creating the best garnish along with his £100 prize. Will from Valentino's won the £50 third prize. Standards for the competition, which was themed around the idea of summer in Japan, were high and everyone entered into the spirit of the competition with gusto. Including the photographer, who discovered that it isn't actually as easy as it looks to mix the perfect cocktail whilst talking about the background of the drinks and there creation!
