The ice rink in Pavilion Gardens opened with a dance from Holiday on Ice dancers, song from the Brighton Gay Men's Chorus and a splendid feast from restauranteurs Feast. Skaters sampled the delights on and off the ice, which included mulled wine and cocktails, fondue and suckling pig and a strange machine that emerged from clouds of dry ice to serve up freshly popped popcorn. The rink will be open to the public from the coming weekend and stays open into the New Year. Skaters and non skating foodies will both find plenty of reasons to delight in and celebrate the festive season with in this beautiful setting in front of the Royal Pavilion.
