Seedy Sunday, the UK's biggest seed swap fair returned to Hove Town Hall even bigger and better than last year. Despite the adverse weather conditions the place was humming with stalls swapping or selling seeds, demonstrating crafts such as wood turning and bee keeping. Representatives of various community organisations and charities, including the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership with their community chef, Harvest Brighton & Hove and Sussex Wildlife Trust had stalls: there was plenty to see and do for children and adults alike. Barcombe Nurseries set up a stall outside the Town Hall with a cornucopia of local and organic produce for sale, whilst inside other stalls sold everything from natural cosmetics through plants, mushroom spawn, books and on to honey and beeswax. A great way to spend a chilly day, planning the planting for a fruitful and floriferous garden!
