The annual sponsored walk in aid of injured and abandoned donkeys in Israel and Palestine took place on the blustery summers day that was Sunday. The rain that had been pouring until just hours before the start decided to give way to fluffy clouds, a stiff breeze and sunshine - ideal walking conditions for the intrepid crew. Lucy Fensom, the charity's founder, was delighted to be able to join supporters in the 10k walk from Hove Lagoon to Brighton Pier and back. They raised over £1500 with the help of fund matching from Barclays Bank, and had a wonderful time doing it. They weren't the only charity walkers out, our photographer snapped a merry bunch of superheroes collecting for SCOPE and just missed the MENCAP walkers in their purple shirts. Well done to all the walkers, see you again next year!
