Our Sunday tour to visit local producers include a trip up Mount Etna awash with the colour of wildflowers, down into a cool cave once used for storing snow to make gelato, and a midmorning snack with prosecco with the wonderful folks at Refugio Citelli. The visit was made as part of Brighton & Hove Food Festival International Chef Exchange. Guest Gelato maker Seb Cole from Brighton UK's Boho Gelato was at Nivarata Granita Festival in Acireale, Sicily, as part of the International Chef Exchange. His exchange partner, gelato maker Nicola Scaccianoce, will visit Brighton in return at the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival in September. The tour was hosted by Nivarata, accompanied by translator Licia Arcidiacono, transport and guides by Mare Neve Escursioni.
