Christmas Food Market at Brighton Station 3rd December 2011
Popped up to the Station at lunchtime today to sample some of the delights from the little Christmas Food Market on the station forecourt. Samson's marvellous fruit stall, a regular at the station, suddenly has great company. I had some very tasty olives, then a lunchbox of Titbits vegan tapas [forget its vegan if you're not - its just delicious food!] which went beautifully with some Burning Desire Chilli sauce. I rounded it off with a slice of Portuguese Christmas Cake which underneath the festive colouring proved to be a little like Stollen but even tastier, stuffed with nuts and fruit. I didn't have room for any Cloud 9 cupcakes, Turkish Delight, Nuts, Baklava or Real Patisserie bread but am stocking up for home. And as the Portuguese food stall has such beautiful gift wrapping to pack their lovely foods in its a great place to do some Christmas shopping. The market is on every weekend until Christmas. And in case you are worrying about my 5 a day I did pick up a lovely big pomegranate and pineapple from the fruit stall for later!
