Growing for flavour - Rewe Verstraeten, Hotel du Vin head chef Rob Carr and Andrew Kay are tasting different varieties of peppers in a polytunnel but this one is too hot to do anything with than smell - the worlds hottest chilli. The ICEx team visits Rotterdam City Farm Uit Je Eigen Stad [From Your Own Town], an urban farm in the industrial/harbour area of Rotterdam. Currently producing herb,fruit, mushroom and vegetable crops as well as free range chickens the farm is soon to introduce aquaponic fish farming which will rear fish in a sustainable and symbiotic environment with existing produce. photo ©Julia Claxton
